Globix will start work on the building in a few weeks but won'tfully move in until next summer. The facility will employ 100 to200 people and will contain up to 2,000 large computers, most ofthem supporting Web sites for corporate clients. To run thosecomputers, Globix will install equipment including refrigeration,backup batteries and large diesel generators.

Globix, which went public in 1996 and has not yet turned aprofit, is one of several Internet-related lease deals that havebeen made in the South Seattle industrial markets, according toarea brokers.
