AUSTIN, TX—Weingarten Realty Investors of Houston has acquired three office/service centers, totaling 148,000 sf, in north, northeast and southeast Austin. The north Austin purchase, Walnut Creek Office Park, is 85% leased and contains 34,000 sf. It is situated on 2.8 acres. The 83% leased Southpoint Service Center totals 54,000 sf, and is located on 5.4 acres along Promontory Point in the city’s southeast corridor. The 60,200-sf Wells Branch Corporate Center, positioned on 4.2 acres along Wells Branch Parkway in the city’s northern sector, is 90% leased.

“Austin’s economy continues to grow, and the city is fast becoming the Silicon Valley of the southwest,” says WRI president Drew Alexander.
