The site is located between 110th Street on the west, Interstate435 on the west, Parallel Parkway on the north and Interstate 70 onthe south. Projections state that as much as $500 million incommercial development may result from the project. The KansasSpeedway itself is estimated to cost $287 million.

Plans for the entertainment and retail complex call for theconstruction of 4 million sf that will include at least two hotelsand a half dozen restaurants, as well as retail and office space.The area has been designated by the state to be a major tourismdistrict, which makes it eligible for tax increment financing.
