RCN Corp., 25% owned by billionaire Paul Allen's VulcanVentures, has leased the 36,641-sf westerly half of the formerLanda Building at 13705 NE Airport Way. The building is owned bymembers of the Sivers family, who last year sold its 900,000-sfindustrial portfolio for stock in First Industrial Realty Trust.The easterly half is being leased by Kaiser Permanente.
The five-year, $850,000 dollar deal with Princeton, N.J.-basedRCN continues a rapid and expanding presence by the company in andaround Portland. Scott Kappas, who represented RCN, toldGlobeSt.com the company owns and leases several buildings in thecity.
"These guys are moving at the speed of light, so to speak,"Kappas said.
