Warrantech Consolidates Executive Offices

Warrantech Corp. reports that its executive offices at 300 Atlantic St. will relocate to Texas effective Sept. 29, 2000. The HQ at the 275,000-sf, high-rise property employs 25 people, mostly senior management. Richard Gavino, executive vice president and chief financial officer, says the firm’s current quarters total approximately 14,000 sf. The new offices in Euless, TX, a suburb of Dallas, will take up about 100,000 sf in several locations.

Chairman and chief executive officer Joel San Antonio says, “Warrantech has been streamlining operations over the last year and recognizes the need for facility centralization to maximize cost efficiencies. In keeping with our recent efforts, we have decided to close our Connecticut facility and move all domestic operations to Texas.”

Through its subsidiaries, the company administers and markets service contracts and after-market warranties on automobiles, auto components, recreational vehicles, appliances, consumer electronics, homes, computer and computer peripherals for retailers, distributors and manufacturers here and overseas.
