San Francisco-based Handlery Hotels and Solano Beach-basedChelsea Investment Corp. want to build The Presidio View at thesite of the closed Cinema 21 Theater on Hotel Circle North, nowbeing used by a church group. The hotelier is also mulling anexpansion of its nearby Handlery Hotel and Resort.
The city planning commission is scheduled to consider the plan,which would require a zoning change from commercial to residential,on Aug 10. The developers hope to start construction early nextyear and complete the project about 18 months later.
