Auto Supplier Moves into New Headquarters

FRASER, MI - Four smaller plants, with 275 employees, will merge into new 260,000-sf facility.

Citation Tools, an automated welding and assembly line manufacturer for the Big Three, has moved into its new headquarters in Fraser, MI. David Leo, director of finance for Citation, told GlobeSt.com that the 260,000-sf facility was purchased from Cross-Heuller.

Sources said the company is spending about $2 million to renovate the 44-year-old building. “We’re investing a significant amount to modernize the building. It’s still very structurally sound,” Leo says.

Company officials did not wish to disclose the purchase price of the building. Citation was acquired by B.N. Bahadur in 1995, Leo says. The move was seen as part of larger plans to rejuvenate the supply companies.

The company will move 275 employees from four smaller plants in Roseville and Warren, MI.
