One building, with about 300,000 sf, would stand near the WestinSouth Coast Plaza Hotel. The other, with 100,000 sf, would be nearthe intersection of Bristol Street and Anton Boulevard.

Leasing activity in the area around South Coast Plaza has pickedup as rents for space in the neighboring John Wayne Airport markethave climbed, local brokers say. The Plaza itself is undergoing a$150-million expansion, and the locally prominent Segerstrom familyis planning to build 255,000 sf of office nearby in addition to a187-room hotel next to the Westin.
