Witkoff Gets Wired; Strikes Deal to "Light" 15 Million SF

Some 15 million sf of Witkoff Group holdings around the country are about to get lit. That’s the result of a newly forged agreement between the owner and Gillette Global Network Inc., a telecom and application-services provider. The deal calls for Gillette to provide in-building telecommunications and data-services infrastructure throughout Witkoff’s national portfolio.

Gillette gains access rights to Witkoff’s class A office buildings in the New York metropolitan area, Philadelphia, Chicago, Detroit and Dallas, installing new fiber-optic networks in each building and providing high-speed, broadband data and voice communication services to tenants.

“After building a solid foundation in the New York area, we’ve planned our national expansion, targeting the Witkoff Group as our entree into major metropolitan markets across the country,” says Gillette president and CEO Joseph P. Gillette.
