The project, scheduled for completion by year's end, will belocated in a business park called the West Little York DistributionCenter near Beltway 8 and Brittmore Road. Houston's northwest hasbeen a hotbed of industrial construction activity in recentyears.

The new building marks the second phase of Panattoni's effort inthe West Little York Distribution Center. A 150,000-sf structurewas built last year under spec by the Sacramento, CA-basedPanattoni. It was recently leased in its entirety to FullartonComputer Industries, a technology manufacturing company based inScotland. Fullarton's computer plant will be operational in firstquarter 2001, adding 300 new jobs to the Houston economy.

Boyd, Page & Associates represented Panattoni in the leasingtransaction. CB Richard Ellis represented Fullarton. At the end ofthe first quarter, Houston's industrial market had a 93% occupancyrate.
