Banana Republic is opening the doors Friday to its remodeled, expanded flagship store at the corner of Grant Avenue and Sutter Street.

The remodel doubled the store’s size to 62,000 sf. The remodeled 22,000-sf street-level floor features larger Men’s and Home areas. A new oval staircase descends to a 40,000-square-foot lower women’s level with 40 fitting rooms.

Additionally, the redone digs will also provide concierge services. Services include valet parking, coat and bag check, and cell phone recharging.

Banana Republic, a division of Gap Inc., is based in San Francisco. Banana Republic currently has 320 stores in the U.S. and 11 stores in Canada.
