Nortel Expands Alpharetta Campus

ALPHARETTA, GA-The telecommunications company is adding two 180,000-sf buildings to its north Fulton complex. The assets each have an estimated construction cost of $27 million.

Nortel Networks plans to expand its north Fulton County facilities with two six-story, 180,000-sf buildings, 25 miles north of downtown Atlanta. The structures each have an estimated construction cost of $27 million.

The new assets will complement Nortel’s existing 246,000-sf, $35 million center.The buildings will be connected by a walkway. The first structure is scheduled to open in April 2001; the second during the summer.

The developer is Barry Real Estate Cos. which also built Nortel’s first structure two years ago.
