An estimated 600 employees of FedEx's software developmentoperations will occupy the second development phase of thetwo-story technology center at 4200 Regent Blvd. in Irving's RegentCenter.
Koll Corporate Development, which handled the project's firstphase, anticipates construction will be completed in time for aDecember move-in. Koll president Steve Van Amburgh says his companywon the project's first phase in "a highly competitive biddingprocess" sealed by innovative designs and construction of high-techstructures. FedEx's Dallas Technology Center features a softwaretest and development lab with raised flooring, emergency generatorbackup, fitness center and full-service cafeteria with outdoordining area.
Fischer & Co. represented FedEx in negotiations with KollCorporate. The general contractor is Hill & Wilkinson.Architectural firm 3ci is designing the shell and core buildingelements while Benson Hlavaty Architects is the interiorarchitect
