The auto parts company paid Paccar Inc. of Bellevue $5.75million for the site, which will replace its location on SouthDearborn Street near Rainier Avenue South in Seattle. WrightRunstad & Co. is proposing an office campus on the site, whichthe local developer bought as it pieced together enough land for a600,000-sf technology campus.

Mar-Lac will move its headquarters and distribution operationsto the new location in October after revamping a 126,000-sfwarehouse on the site. Mar-Lac president Bruce McLachlin is sayingthe property was a logical choice because Paccar's used to use thesite for its auto supply subsidiary, which sold last year, turningthe property into surplus.

Mar-Lac, which is affiliated with the Parts Plus system, owns 10retail outlets in the Puget Sound region and distributes auto partsto 85 stores in Oregon, Washington, Idaho and Alaska.
