HCA /The Healthcare Co. is leasing 100,552 sf in a new building developed by Dallas-based Myers & Crow Co. in west Houston.

The HCA offices will house approximately 600 employees to serve HCA hospitals in Houston, Brownsville, McAllen and Corpus Christi, as well as in Louisiana and Mississippi. The health- care firm is the first tenant in WestBelt Office Center I, a 136,800-sf, two-story building located at 8101 W. Sam Houston Parkway South. The health-care firm has been represented in the lease negotiations by Medical Real Estate Inc. and CB Richard Ellis.

On Houston’s north side of Houston, Myers & Crow also is developing the NorthBelt Office Center I, a 120,000 sf, two-story building at 900 Grand Plaza Dr. The new Myers & Crow buildings feature large open floor plates to accommodate the new trend for open office plans.
