A total $136.2 million in new venture capital was snagged bymostly tech-related businesses in the area during the secondquarter, according to a survey by PricewaterhouseCoopers. Thelargest single finding, $46.5 million, was supplied to MercadoLibreof Miami Beach, an on-line auction company focusing on LatinAmerican markets.
A total of $35.5 million went to DataCore Software Corp. of FortLauderdale, which is engaged in software applications forhigh-speed data storage operations. Venture capital of $15.8million was obtained by Cellit Inc of Miami, which providesintegrated outbound/inbound software for call centers. CylexSystems of Boca Raton, whose business involves document imagemanagement solutions, received $12.8 million
