Pennsylvania Nursery Building 116,000 SF Plant and 250,000-SF Outdoor Storage Area

The 1,200-acre, 20-year-old Poinciana Industrial Park in Osceola County has picked up a big user in Nursery Supplies Inc. of Chambersburg, Pa. The firm is constructing a $4.5 million, 116,000-sf plant and 250,000 sf outdoor storage area on 25 acres at U.S. 17-92 and Poinciana Boulevard, about 20 miles south of Downtown Orlando. Completion is scheduled for February when about 150 new local jobs will be available.

Nursery Supplies gravitated to the park through Lerio Corp., a recent acquisition. Lerio occupies 50,000 sf. Nursery Supplies also has manufacturing sites in El Campo, TX; Orange, CA; and McMinnville, OR. The park has completed 1.3 million sf to date. Tenants include 7-Eleven Corp., MultiFoods Specialty Distribution, McLane Suneast, Florida Power Corp. and Texaco. About 1,500 persons are employed at the park.

Avalon Properties Inc. is developing the park and the 47,000 acre Poinciana mixed-used project. H.J. High Construction Co. of Orlando is the general contractor for the Nursery Supplies project.
