Visalia’s Holiday Inn has been sold to the team of companies that owns and operates Fresno’s Radisson Hotel.

The Hotel Group, based in Seattle, completed the purchase last week. It bought the 9000 W. Airport Drive hotel in a joint venture with Uniwell Corp. The Hotel Group operates the Radisson Hotel in Fresno for Uniwell Corp.

The price paid for the Visalia Holiday Inn was not disclosed. Doug Dreher, executive vice president of The Hotel Group, said plans for the next 18 months include “a multimillion dollar” renovation for the Visalia.

The Visalia Holiday Inn has 257 rooms, 22,000 square feet of conference space and seating capacity for 1,600. The acquisition also includes the Pacific Grill and Breakers Lounge.

The Visalia hotel will remain a Holiday Inn. The Hotel Group, founded in 1984, owns or manages 20 properties.
