Judge Judith McConnell dismissed the suit by the CaliforniaEnvironmentalLaw Project on the grounds that it missed the filingdeadline by one day.However, the group's attorneys may still havethe right to present oral arguments in the case.

The project would be located west of Pacific Street, near thestrand. But San Diego-based Manchester Resorts still has a numberof steps to take before it can break ground, including a hearingbefore the California Coastal Commission that is scheduled forOctober.
