The eight-story building will be the sixth by the Torrance-basedfirm at the Cerritos Towne Center, which combines offices, shoppingand a Sheraton hotel. The five existing buildings total 462,000sf.
The building should be completed by next autumn, says Alan J.Pyenson, Transpacific's project manager.
Leasing brokers Rick Warner and Mark Friend of the Anaheimoffice of CB Richard Ellis say the office vacancy rate inCerritos—under 7%--shows a demand for more office space.
