Alteon WebSystems, which makes switches and routers for the World Wide Web, has signed a lease on two office buildings in North San Jose.

The company, which is being acquired by Nortel Networks, has signed a 10-year lease on 185,000 sf at Great Oaks Business Park near the intersection of Highways 85 and 101. It will take all the available space in the two buildings, which are currently under construction.

Alteon already leases 100,000 sf split amongst several buildings in the business complex. It will keep that space but relocate its headquarters to the new quarters once they are completed.

Cornish & Carey Commercial Real Estate brokered the deal. Financial terms were not disclosed.
