The firm, which was founded last October, is led by a team ofseasoned communications executives and backed by more than $90million in funding. Vectris seeks to provide high-speed digitalsubscriber line, or DSL, to take service to second- and third-tiercities, beginning with the southwest region. Analysts say mostother firms have concentrated on large metropolitan areas, makingsecondary and tertiary markets ripe for companies such as Vectris.Employment at the company is expected to hit 200 by year end.
Vectris' new headquarters include a multimedia presentation roomnear a staging and testing center created jointly by Vectris andCisco Systems Inc.
