Emerging Vision Inc., which launched in March, caters to theoptical manufacturing world. The company also is prepping to moveinto a new location in New York City, housing temporarily at 44 W.18th St., a source told GlobeSt.com. Emerging Vision has signed along-term lease for office space for its executive and financialmanagement team at a building set to deliver in the fall.
Emerging Vision's new operations center, 315 S. CentralExpressway, is across the street from its startup location. Theoffice, which employs 30, will serve as a portal operations anddevelopment, tech support and customer service center. Deep Ellumis becoming increasingly popular as a dot-com address due to fiberoptic capabilities in the mixed-use corridor located on the fringesof the Central Business District.
