The extra space is higher than what real estate sources toldGlobeSt.com earlier this month. It was believed at that time thatthe company was going to lease an additional 15,000 sf and sign anoption for 17,000 or more sf. Officials say the company also isadding to its eight offices outside Austin, with plans to jumpemployment from about 500 to 800 or 1,000 people over the course ofthe next year.

With the tight real estate market in Austin, that may be a smartmove for future growth. Right now, growth is on the minds ofConcero executives as second quarter 2000 results show revenue hasjumped $3 million, up from $14 million in first quarter 2000 andnearly 50% higher than second quarter 1999 earnings. The company isreporting second quarter net income of $1.1 million, nearly doublethe $584,000 posted in the first quarter. The 11-year-old companyhad been called PSW Technologies Inc.
