The Rockwall shopping center was purchased from RW Market CenterAssociates, a limited partnership based in Dallas. The 209,000 sfcenter, located on the southeast corner of Interstate 30 and MarketCenter St., is situated on a 21.4-acre tract. The center currentlyis 96% leased and occupied by national and regional retailersincluding Linens N Things, Ross Dress for Less, Office Max, Petco,Michael's Crafts, Pier 1 Imports and Old Navy.
Weingarten owns 247 income-producing properties in 14 states,primarily in the southwest. Included in the portfolio are 195shopping centers, 50 industrial properties, one apartment complexand one office building, comprising over 28 million sf.
