That's about to change. Developer the Barrett Cos., based inFort Lee, NJ, plan to build two luxury rental buildings with morethan 500 apartments. The company also plans to build terraces, ahealth club and a parking garage on the site.
The development is named Half Moon Harbour, and it comes aftermore than six years of battling over what to do with the property.Concerns have focused mostly on traffic and density factors. Formarketing purposes, the project has a built-in plus: overlookingthe Hudson River, it has great Manhattan views roughly oppositeWest 70th Street.
