360networks Inc., a 1 1/2-year-old Vancouver, B.C.-based telecommunications company, is leasing a 95,000-sf building in the Mountain View Corporate Center in Broomfield, CO., a suburban community between Denver and Boulder along the US 36 corridor.

Dave Love, 360networks senior vice president of network operations, says the company selected Broomfield for its North American operations center because the Denver-Boulder area is gaining a foothold as a hub for networking companies.

360networks was formed an offshoot of Canadian construction giant Ledger Corp. 360networks is building a 24,000-mile fiber optic network in North America and an 11,000-mile network in Europe. The company also plans networks in Asia and South America. In the Denver area, the company plans to consolidate 230 employees from three metro-area sites to its new location in December.
