Now the Owatonna store may soon no longer be the 7-store chain'sbusiest store with the opening Aug. 30 of Cabela's new store inDundee, Michigan, 30 miles south of Detroit and 20 miles north ofToledo, OH. The new Cabela's is expected to draw 6 million visitorsa year, which would make it Michigan's top tourist attraction _bigger than Frankenmuth "Michigan's Little Bavaria" {3 millionvisitors) and Mackinac Island {2 million visitors).
Built by Minneapolis-based Kraus Anderson Construction, Cabela's225,000 sf store attracted 206,000 visitors in its first week.
