Under the new plan, the resort would move east of PacificStreet.Manchester would also keep an outdoor stage in its presentlocationrather than moving it to another site. The company plans tomeet withthe city council in closed session Wednesday to discussthe changes.

Manchester wants to build a 450-room hotel, outdoorentertainment areaand convention center building. But staff for thestate CoastalCommission have objected to the plans to close athree-block stretch ofPacific Street to vehicle traffic and turnover land owned by the cityto Manchester.

The Coastal Commission is expected to formally consider theproject at a meeting next month.
