Monies will be used to remodel the top two floors of Wahl HallEast on the campus, located just across the Missouri/Kansas stateline and a few miles from downtown Kansas City. The newconstruction will nearly double the size of the existing kidneyresearch center.
``We will be able to house the research center all in onebuilding,whereas now the research areas are spread out all over thecampus,''said Bob Hallinan, a KU Med Center public relationsofficial.
An architectural firm is being sought for the project.
