Entergy is awaiting approval of its proposed acquisition ofIndian Point 3 nuclear power plant in Buchanan and the James A.Fitzpatrick nuclear plant in Oswego County, NY. Both facilities arecurrently owned and operated by the New York Power Authority.Closing on the sale of those properties, valued at $970 million, isexpected this fall.

The company also owns and operates the Pilgrim nuclear plant inPlymouth, MA. Entergy Nuclear Northeast will manage a workforce infour states that totals 2,300 workers with an annual payroll of $81million. Entergy Corp. is the third largest power generator in theUnited States with more than 30,000 megawatts of generatingcapacity and approximately $11 billion in annual revenue. Thenuclear business of Entergy is headquartered in Jackson, MS.
