Santa Ana-based Microsemi makes computer chips and otherelectronics. Last year it paid $24 million for LinFinity, whichmakes the silicone wafers used in the manufacture of computerchips.
The expansion should take about a year to complete, Microsemisays. When finished, it will allow LinFinity to boost production ofits silicon wafers by more than 30%.
