Refusing to pay the Westside’s high rents any longer, a company that builds and markets Internet businesses is leaving Hollywood and has signed an agreement to move Downtown and increase its space six-fold.

The company, Full Moon Interactive, is moving out of the 5,000 sf it occupies in Hollywood and into 30,000 sf of sublet space at 911 Wilshire Blvd. The 91-month sublease agreement is valued at about $4.1 million.

Full Moon specializes in designing and marketing Internet businesses for Fortune 500 companies. Though most Internet-related office tenants still prefer to be on the fashionable Westside, a small but growing number are relocating to Downtown because rent for comparable space can be as much as 40% cheaper.

Full Moon’s Downtown space will be sublet from the engineering firm Dames & Moore Inc. The local office of Colliers Seeley helped to put the deal together.
