SOUTHFIELD, MI-Dallas-based real estate company Staubach Co. has returned to the Detroit area by opening an office here.

The Dallas-based real estate company, which handles leases, acquisitions and other transactions for large companies, used to have a Detroit office in the early 1990s. That office closed. The new office will start with three employees.

John Ozog, director of the Southfield office, says his company is handling clients such as Nextel Communications, Cambell-Ewald and AT&T. “We’ve come back to the Detroit area with a vengeance,” he says.

Ozog is formerly a principal with GVA Stragis of Southfield. He said the new Staubach office will boost the company’s Midwest coverage.
