AURORA, CO-The 821st Space Group has broken ground on a $23 million commissary and base exchange at the northwest corner of the Buckley Air National Guard Base in the city of Aurora, east of Denver.

The facility will include a food court, barber shop, beauty shop, optical shop, credit union, nutrition store, military clothing sales store, alterations shop, floral shop, three-bay garage and gas pumps. The project is a joint effort of the Defense Commissary Agency and the Army/Air Force Exchange Service. The facility is scheduled to open in November 2001.
