Fast-forward to the year 2000, and the Fort Lee, NJ-basedBarrett Cos. is recalling that ambitious voyage with itsunder-construction Half Moon Harbor apartment complex in NorthBergen. Phase one is nearing completion.
The two-phase project will consist of two 12-story brickbuildings on a 10-acre site that protrudes the Hudson River,ironically forming an inlet known by boaters for its half-moonshape. The two buildings will contain 507 one- and two-bedroomapartments, equipped with a optical-fiber backbone and Verizonvideo and cable wiring. The Edgewater, NJ firm Cybul & Cybul isthe project architect. Leasing is expected to begin this fall.
