The larger center is the 247,000-sf Deerbrook Crossing locatedat US 59 North near the Kingwood community. It includes a vacant20,000-sf space that was formerly used as a movie theater by SilverCinemas. The movie space will be renovated into conventional retailspace. The other shopping center to be acquired by Stateside is theBeechnut Village Shopping Center, a 63,000-sf project on BeechnutSt.
The centers were purchased from an investment group led bySummit Commercial Properties. Cushman & Wakefield representedthe seller. Belt International Realty Co. dealt for the buyer.
