The county wants to create private interest in Gastonia'scommercial side by relocating government offices to the centralbusiness district. The plan would entail buying the 140,000-sf YorkChester Square shopping center for $3.5 million or $24.30 persf.
Curtain, Bed & Bath Outlet currently leases the two-storyproperty. County departments would lease the space when the leaseexpires.
