The franchise operator wants to open a 120-room Choice Brandhotel at the site of the former Kimels Furniture store at 10715Colesville Road, say officials involved with the deal. The site isjust north of the Interstate 495 Capital Beltway, and three milesnorth of downtown Silver Spring on Route 29.
It is a sign of how office development is spurring ripples inother kinds of commercial development.
"The development of this site will enhance the availability ofamenities on the Route 29 Corridor, which will provide additionallodging to service the consolidation of the FDA as well as theDiscovery Channel," said Joseph A.
