When the $3-million project is completed next summer, hopefully,Port City Development will have six units of transition housing andwork-training facilities on the property, located at 2110 N.Williams Ave. The project was originally scheduled to be completethis past December, but cleaning away the lead and acid residuetook longer than expected, despite not being as bad asexpected.

Port City's development is being funded in part by $2 million inMultnomah County Revenue bonds to be paid off with car rentaltaxes. Port City has raised the remaining $1.3 million required forissuance of the bonds.
