SAN is opening an unconventional hybrid of the virtual and physical retail experiences with a shared brick-and mortar location that includes Internet-connected bluelight kiosks, a Jamba Juice franchise and a one-hour photo-developer.

The 9,000-sf store sits below’s headquarters, and is thought of as a marketing tool more than anything else. Kiosks linked to the Kmart-owned retailer’s Web site replace actual merchandise, and return items must still be taken to Kmart stores. A Jamba Juice franchise and a one-hour photo-developing outlet are there to generate traffic.
