The City Council recently approved eight contracts totaling$3.88 million for interior finish work to the structure, which willbe completed toward the end of 2001. Limestone and various types ofgranite will be used both inside and outside. Beechwood was chosenfor the council chambers.

All city services are operating from a temporary site in theGreat Mall of the Bay Area at 1210 Great Mall Dr.
