When all phases of the project are complete, the condominiumwill contain about 800,000 sf of space. The project is slated forground-breaking in the spring of 2001. Chateau Raveneaux, designedby Ziegler Cooper Architects of Houston, will have an exterior ofbeige plaster and blue-tinted glass.
The project is located 20 miles northwest of Downtown Houstonand is designed to appeal to empty-nesters in the suburbs who nolonger want to maintain homes with large lawns. The trend fortownhouses and condominiums has been growing in the Houston area,attracting the aging Baby Boomer population, young professionalsand couples with no children. The Greenwood Corp. has developed anumber of large residential projects in northwest Houston,including the 2,700-acre Greenwood Forest and the 1,800-acreChampion Forest.
