The building was owned by the restaurant operators who own theLocal on its bottom two floors. One of the sellers, HenryCousineau, is retaining part ownership in the building.

The restaurant operators had planned to build a boutique hotelon the top floors. The building's top three floors have been vacantsince Cousineau and his partner bought the building three years agofor $1.5 million.
