MINNEAPOLIS-The former home of Bank’s discount department store in northeast Minneapolis has been sold by Minneapolis-based Hillcrest Development to SchafeRichardson for about $2.4 million, according to SchafeRichardson officials.

The new owner plans to complete the conversion of the 156,000-sf building from retail to a multi-tenant office space.

The building fits nicely into SchafeRichardson’s other older warehouse properties with brick walls and wood floors and beams. The Bank’s store moved out late last year, and the building is about a third full.
