The project would lie within the existing Williamson Ranch Plazaat Lone Tree Way and Hillcrest. Its retail aspects, including aStaples store and 18,000 sf of retail space, were approved thisweek. But council members expressed concerns about planned officespace, two restaurants and a day care center.

At issue is the possible intensity of night lighting, whichconcerns nearby neighbors. In addition, council members wereconcerned about the quality of the proposed restaurants, sinceAntioch has expressed a desire to bring more upscale eateries totown.

Sacramento-based Taylor Properties, which is in charge of thedevelopment, said that a Denny's or Fresh Choice-style restaurantmay be in the offing.
