This is second golf club IRI has purchased in Tucson. Last yearthe company, which has offices in Dallas and San Diego, purchasedthe Forty Niner Golf & Country Club for $5.5 million. "Thepurchase of Forty Niner and San Ignacio golf courses is only ourstart in the Arizona market," says Jeff Silverstein, chairman andCEO of IRI Golf Group. "IRI will have an aggressive presence. IRIis one of the fastest-growing national golf companies, and we hopeto expand our operations in Arizona in the coming months."

San Ignacio, which was built in the late 1980s, was formerlyowned by David Williamson, a principal with Fairfield Homes, andrestaurateur Bob McMahon.
