FirstWorld Communications Inc.'s newest center will provide itsgrowing number of Southland customers with a variety ofInternet-related services, including Web hosting. The company alsorents space out to house its clients' computer equipment.
FirstWorld says about 100 people will work in the new facility.It operates similarly sized centers in Glendale and San Diego, aswell as one in the Northern California city of Santa Clara and fivemore in other states.
Several other data centers have sprung up in the Southlandrecently to service the region's growing number of Internet-relatedcompanies.
