Musicland Stores, thenational music and home entertainmentproductsretailer based in Minnetonka, MN, has taken a stake intheretailer of just under 20% ownership for aninvestment of less than$10 million. Musicland chief executive Jack Eugster said hiscompanywas looking to invest in "promising retailstrategies where ourexpertise in product managementand distribution could addvalue."

Golf Galaxy, aprivately held company, has 18 superstoresaveraging17,000 sf in such Midwest cities as Chicago,Cleveland,Cincinnati, Milwaukee and the Twin Cities.
