He had led the Shawnee Area Chamber of Commerce and EconomicDevelopmentCouncil for the past five years. Prior to working inShawnee, he hadserved in a similar position for eight years for theOlathe, KSChamber of Commerce.
Vogt is credited with attracting a large scale of businesses toShawnee,including a number of new tenants to the city's west sideindustrialparks, and broadening its tax base.
